Gov. Rick Perry Jobs Plan, by the Numbers (ContributorNetwork)

Texas Gov. Rick Perry laid out his jobs plan for GOP voters Friday. It is all about energy. Even the title of the plan is called "Energizing American Jobs and Security." Being from Texas, Perry's state stands to benefit greatly from increased oil production.

Here are some numbers regarding Perry's jobs plan.

2.4 million: American jobs Perry claims the Obama administration will lose by 2020. Perry's reason is he believes Obama has enforced too many rules upon certain industries, especially the energy sector.

1.2 million: Jobs Perry's plan claims to produce in the energy sector in the next eight years. To achieve that gain, he will call upon oil companies to explore and produce more oil by reducing regulations.

30: Drilling plan approvals Perry claims the Obama administration has had during. This figure is just for the Gulf of Mexico. Perry's plan purports that before Obama took office, 130 plans were approved for drilling.

127 billion: Money, in dollars, Perry claims the electricity sector will lose between now and 2020. His reasoning has to do with over-regulation from the Clean Water Act .

12 billion: Barrels of oil underneath the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, according to Perry's plan. Perry believes in tapping this resource to increase oil production in the United States.

175,000: Jobs that could be created if the ANWR could be opened up for production, according to Perry's plan. Alaska is a key oil producing state and a vital part of Perry's plan.

500,000: Jobs that will be created in western states such as Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and North Dakota with additional oil drilling, according to Perry's plan. Natural gas can also be tapped in this region.

1.176 quadrillion: Cubic feet of shale gas that can be recovered from underground, according to Perry's plan. Sources are predominantly in Pennsylvania, Texas and the aforementioned western states.

33: Times the word "Obama" appears in the plan. Perry has been critical of Obama's regulation of the oil and gas industry.

6: Times the word "wind" appears in Perry's report. He has a plan to use federal waters off the Virginia coast for an offshore wind turbine project.

43: Times the word "oil" appears in Perry's plan. He's focused on jump-starting American jobs purely with the energy sector. His combination of easing regulations and speeding up permits leads to more oil production.
